Materials

100 gram ball of Baby DK Yarn in White

100 gram ball of Baby DK Yarn in Random

5.00mm & 4.00mm crochet hooks, 3mtrs 9mm Ribbon, 3 small buttons


TENSION - 2 groups & 4 rows measures approx. 2” square (5cm X 5cm)

Angel Top - Starting with yoke and worked in one piece.

Using 4.00mm hook and main colour make 55ch, (RS) 1tr into 4th ch from hook, 1tr into the next 6ch (back), 3tr into next ch, 1tr into next 8ch (shoulder), 3tr into next ch, 1tr into the next 17ch (front), 3tr into next ch, 1tr into the next 8ch. (shoulder), 3tr into next ch, 1tr into the next 8ch (back). Turn. (60tr + 3ch)

 

2nd Row - 3ch, 1tr into the next 8tr, 3tr into next tr, 1tr into next 10tr, 3tr into next tr, 1tr into the next 19tr, 3tr into next tr, 1tr into the next 10tr, 3tr into the next tr, 1tr into the next 8tr, 1tr into top of 3ch. Turn.  (68tr + 3ch)

 

3rd Row - 3ch, 1tr into the next 9tr, 3tr into next tr, 1tr into next 12tr, 3tr into next tr, 1tr into the next 21tr, 3tr into next tr, 1tr into the next 12tr, 3tr into the next tr, 1tr into the next 9tr, 1tr into top of 3ch, Turn.  (76tr + 3ch)

 

4th Row - 3ch, 1tr into the next 10tr, 3tr into next tr, 1tr into next 14tr, 3tr into next tr, 1tr into the next 23tr, 3tr into next tr, 1tr into the next 14tr, 3tr into the next tr, 1tr into the next 10tr, 1tr into top of 3ch. Turn. (84tr + 3ch)

7th Row - 3ch, 1tr into the next 13tr, 3tr into next tr, 1tr into next 20tr, 3tr into next tr, 1tr into the next 29tr, 3tr into next tr, 1tr into the next 20tr, 3tr into the next tr, 1tr into the next 13tr, 1tr into top of 3ch. Turn.  (108tr + 3ch)


8th Row - (Increase and divide for armholes) 3ch, 1tr into next tr, * 2tr into next tr, 1tr into each next 2tr,* rpt from * to * to centre tr on first corner, 1tr into corner, miss next 22tr, 1tr into centre tr on next corner, rpt from * to * to centre tr on next corner, 1tr into corner, miss next 22tr, 1tr into centre tr on next corner, rpt from * to * to end working last tr into top of 3ch. Turn. (85tr + 3ch) Fasten off.


Commence with Skirt - Join in contrast colour, with 4.00mm hook make 3ch, miss 1tr, * (2tr, 1ch, 2tr) into next tr, miss 2tr * rpt from * to * to last tr and 3ch, miss last tr, 1tr into top of 3ch, ss to top of 3ch on beginning of row. Turn (28 groups)


Pattern Row - 3ch, * (2tr, 1ch, 2tr) into next 1ch space on group * rpt from * to * to end, ss to top of 3ch on beginning of row. Turn.

 

Rpt last row 13 more times, making 15 group rows in all. Fasten off.


Sleeve Edge x 2  - With 4.00mm hook, main colour and with WS facing rejoin yarn into side of tr underarm where you divided for the armholes, 3ch, 1tr into side of tr, 1tr into each of next 22tr, 2tr into side of tr on opposite side of sleeve, ss to top of 3ch. Turn. (25tr + 3ch) Fasten off.

 

Next row - Join in contrast colour, 3ch, miss 2tr, * (2tr, 1ch, 2tr) into next tr, miss 2tr, * rpt from * to * to last 2tr, (2tr, 1ch, 2tr) into next tr, miss 1tr, ss to top of 3ch. Turn. (8 groups) Fasten off.


Button/Buttonhole Bands

With main colour, RS facing and starting at lower edge on right back edge, work 17dc evenly up right front to corner, 3dc into corner, 1dc into each tr around neck, 3dc into corner, work 17dc evenly down second back edge. Turn.

 

Next row - (Buttonholes) 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each dc up back edge to corner, 3dc into corner, 1dc into each dc around neck, 3dc into corner, * 2ch, miss 1dc, 1dc into next 6dc, * rpt from * to * once more, 2ch, miss 1dc, 1dc into remaining dc. Turn. (3 Buttonholes)


Next row - 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each dc and ch space to corner, 3dc into corner, 1dc into each dc around neck, 3dc into corner, 1dc into each dc to end. Fasten off.


Finishing  -  Sew in and tie off loose ends, sew on buttons to correspond with buttonholes, thread ribbon through alternate tr’s under yoke and tie in a bow.


Pants - Using 5.00mm hook and main colour make 90ch, (RS) ss to first ch to form a ring, change to 4.00mm hook, 3ch, 1tr in each ch to end. Turn. (89tr + 3ch)


Next Row – 3ch, 1tr into each tr to end, ss to top of 3ch on beginning of row. Turn.


Rpt last row 8 more times until 10 rows have been worked in all. Turn.  


Divide for legs - 3ch, 1tr into next 44tr, ss to top of 3ch on beginning of row. Turn. Continue on these 45 st until 7 rows of tr’s have been worked in all from division for right leg. Turn. Fasten off.


Left Leg - Return to remaining stitches at division and continue in the same way as right leg. (44tr + 3ch)

With Wrong side of work facing, and starting with 1ch work 90dc evenly along cast on edge at waist. Fasten off.


Finishing  - Sew in and tie off loose ends of yarn, turn through to RS. Thread ribbon through every 2tr at waist and ankles and tie with bows.
