Finished size approx: 6 Inch wide x 46 Inch circumference

Materials

60 grams of Stylecraft special DK yarn in colour 1 (1710)

25 grams of Stylecraft special DK yarn in colour 2 (1001)

25 grams of Stylecraft special DK yarn in colour 3 (1123)

5.00mm & 4.50mm crochet hook

TENSION - 4tr and 2 rows measure approx 1 Inch using 4.50mm hook

Cowl - (Made in rounds without turning until edging) -

With 5.00mm hook and colour 1 make 186ch, making sure not to twist ch length, ss to first ch to make a ring, change to 4.50mm hook.

Pattern Row 1 - (RS) Make 3ch, 1tr into each ch to end, ss to top of 3ch on beginning of row. (185tr + 3ch)

Pattern Row 2 - 1ch, (1dc, 4ch, 1cl) into base of 1ch, * miss 2tr, (1dc, 4ch, 1cl) into next tr,

* rpt from * to * to last 2tr, miss last 2tr, ss to first dc on beginning of row. (see abbrev for cl instructions) (62cl)

Pattern Row 3 - ss into first 4ch space, 3ch, 2tr into same space, work 3tr into each 4ch space to end, ss to top of 3ch on beginning of row. Fasten off. (185tr + 3ch)

Working in tr's not ch's, rpt Pattern Rows 1 to 3, once in colour 2, once in colour 3 and once in colour 1, turn at the end of the last row.

Edging - 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each tr to end, ss to first dc on beginning of row. Fasten off. (186dc)

Return to cast on edge and with WS facing work 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each ch to end, ss to first dc. Fasten off. (186dc)

Finishing - Weave in any loose ends of yarn and trim.
