Materials
50 grams of King Cole big value baby DK in  bright pink (294)  Main
50 grams of King Cole big value baby DK in white (001) contrast
5.00mm & 4.00mm crochet hooks     

TENSION - 9dc & 9 rows of dc measure approximately 2” square (5cm x 5cm)

With main colour yarn and using 5.00mm hook, make 25ch. (RS) Change to 4.00mm hook, 1dc in 2nd ch from hook, 1dc into each ch to end. (24dc). Turn.

Next Row - 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, * 2ch, miss 1dc, 1dc into next 2dc. * rpt from * to *
to last 2dc, 2ch miss 1dc, 1dc into last dc. Turn.

Next row - 1ch, 1dc into each dc and 2ch space to end. Turn. (24dc)

Next Row - 1ch, 1dc into each dc to end. Fasten off. Turn.

Miss 8dc rejoin yarn to 9th dc with a ss, 1ch, 1dc into base of ch, 1dc into each of next 7dc. Turn. (8dc)

Next row - 1ch, 1dc into each of next 8dc. Turn. Rpt last row 6 more times until 8 rows in
all have been worked. Fasten off.

With contrast colour yarn and RS facing return and rejoin yarn with a ss to cast on edge, 3ch, * miss 1st, 5tr into next st, miss 1st, 1dc into next st,* rpt from * to * to last 3st’s, miss 1st, 5tr into next st, 1tr into last st. Fasten off. Turn. (6, 5tr groups)

With WS of bootie facing, join in main colour with a ss and work 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each of the next 3tr, * 3ch, 1dc into first of 3ch, 1dc into same tr, 1dc into each of next 2tr, ss into next dc, 1dc into next 3tr, * rpt from * to * to last 2tr and 3ch, make 3ch, 1dc into first of 3ch, 1dc into same tr, 1dc into each of next 2tr, 1dc into top of 3ch. Fasten off.

With contrast colour yarn and RS facing return to st where you casted off at ankle, (see pic)












Rejoin yarn with a ss, work 1dc into next 8dc along ankle, 8dc along instep, 8dc along toe, 8dc along second side of instep, 8dc along ankle. Turn. (40dc)

Starting with 1ch, work 1 more row in dc on these 40dc.

Next row - (dec) 1ch, 1dc into first dc, dec 1dc over next 2dc, 1dc into each of the next 15dc, dec 1dc over next 2dc, (twice), 1dc into next 15dc, dec 1dc over next 2dc, 1dc into last dc. Turn. (36dc)

Starting with 1ch, work 1 row in dc on these 36dc.

Next row - (dec) 1ch, 1dc into first dc, dec 1dc over next 2dc, 1dc into each of the next 13dc, dec 1dc over next 2dc, (twice), 1dc into next 13dc, dec 1dc over next 2dc, 1dc into last dc. Turn. (32dc)

Starting with 1ch, work 1 row in dc on these 32dc.

Next row - (dec) 1ch, 1dc into first dc, dec 1dc over next 2dc, 1dc into each of the next 11dc, dec 1dc over next 2dc, (twice), 1dc into next 11dc, dec 1dc over next 2dc, 1dc into last dc. (28dc). Fasten off.

Making up and finishing - With wrong side facing, sew open seam and fasten off all ends. Turn through to RS. Thread ribbon through ch spaces at ankle and tie in bows.
