1.75oz of Cotton Worsted Weight Yarn in main

Small amount of Cotton Worsted Weight Yarn in contrast

3.00mm & 4.50mm crochet hooks

Gauge - 11 stitches and 10 rows measures approx 2 x 2”

With 4.50mm hook and main color ch38, work 1sc in 2nd ch from hook, * ch1, skip 1ch,

1sc in next ch, * rpt from * to * to end. Turn.

Pattern Row 1 - ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, 1sc in ch1 space, * ch1, skip 1sc, 1sc in next

ch1 space, * rpt from * to * to last sc, 1sc in last sc. Turn.

Pattern Row 2 - ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, * ch1, skip 1sc, 1sc in next ch1 space, * rpt

from * to * to last 2sc, ch1, skip 1sc, 1sc in last sc. Turn.

Rpt Pattern Rows 1 & 2 until 37 rows have been worked in all or work measures approx

7“ from beginning. Turn.

Edging - With 3.00mm hook, ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, 1sc in each sc and ch space

to last sc, 3sc in last sc, working in row ends and down the first side of cloth, work 35sc evenly along to next corner, 3sc in corner, 1sc in each sc and ch1 space along bottom of cloth to corner, 3sc in corner, working in row ends and up the side of the second side of cloth, work 35sc evenly along to next corner, 1sc in corner, sl st to first sc. Turn. Work 2 more rows in sc, working 3sc in corners, slip stitching to first sc on the end of each row.

Turn . Fasten off.

Join in contrast color and work 2 more rows in sc, working 3sc in corners, sl st to first sc. Turn. Fasten off. Rejoin main color and work 2 more rows in sc, working 3sc in corners,

sl st to first sc. Turn.

Next Row - ch3, * 2dc in base of ch3, skip 2sc, sl st in next sc, ch3, * rpt from * to * around all four sides of cloth, sl st to base of first ch3. Fasten off.

Finishing - Sew and tie off all loose ends of cotton.
