work 5dc in next stitch, yo and pull through all loops.

On the last main color row worked, work dc around the sc directly below the contrast
color row,
by inserting hook horizontally under the sc.

750 grams of King Cole big value DK in Natural (046) main colour
100 grams of King Cole big value DK in caramel (086) contrast
OR
26oz of Light Worsted yarn in Main Color
3.5oz of Light Worsted Yarn in Contrast Color
5.50mm, 4.50mm & 4.00mm crochet hooks
GAUGE - 2 shell groups and 4 rows measures approx 2” x 2”

With 5.50mm hook ch68 loosely, 1sc in 2nd ch from hook, (RS) 1sc in each ch to end.
Turn. (67sc)
Next Row - Change to 4.00mm hook, ch4, (counts as first stitch) * skip 2sc, 1 shell
(see abbrev) in next sc, * rpt from * to * to last 3sc, skip 2sc, 1trc in last sc.
Turn.

Next Row - ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, * 1 shell in centre dc of next shell, 1sc in
the space between shells, * rpt from * to * to end, 1sc in top of ch4. Turn.
Pattern Row 1 - ch4, 1 shell in centre dc on each shell to end, 1trc in sc. Turn.

Pattern Row 2 - ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, * 1 shell in centre dc of next shell, 1sc
in the
space between shells, * rpt from * to * to end, 1sc in top of ch4. Turn.
Pattern Rows 1 & 2 form the pattern, continue with both pattern rows until 66 complete
patterns have been worked in all or work measures approx 62” from beginning. Turn.
Edging - Using 5.50mm hook ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, work * ch3, 1sc in centre dc
on
shell,* rpt from * to * to last shell, ch3, 1sc in sc. Turn.
Next Row - ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, * 2sc in ch3 space, 1sc in sc, * rpt from * to
* to
last sc, 3sc in last sc, working down the first side of runner and in row ends, work
200sc evenly along to end. Fasten off. With RS facing, work 200sc evenly along in
row ends on second side of runner. Turn.
Next Row - Change to 4.50mm hook, ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, 1sc in each sc around
four sides of runner, working 3sc in all corners, sl st to first sc. Turn. Rpt last
row once. Turn. Fasten off.
Next Row – With WS facing, join contrast color yarn to corner, ch1, 1sc in base of
ch1,
* dc5tog (see abbrev) in next sc, 1sc in next sc, * rpt from * to * around four sides
of
runner to end, sl st to first sc. Turn. Fasten off.
Next Row - Rejoin main color yarn to top of first dc5tog, ch1, 1sc in same stitch,
* dcf
(see abbrev) around sc on row below contrast color row, 1sc in top of dc5tog, * rpt
from * to * around four sides of runner to end, sl st to first sc. Turn.
Next Row - ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, 1sc in each stitch around four sides of runner
to end, working 3sc in all corners, sl st to first sc. Fasten off.
Finishing - Sew in and tie off all loose ends of yarn.
