WS.       Wrong Side

5dc Group.  5dc's in same stitch


dec. Leaving the last loop of each st on hook, yo and draw through all loops.

Materials

50 grams of King Cole big value baby DK in manadrin (1684)


OR

50 grams of Light Worsted yarn

5.50mm & 4.00mm crochet hooks


GAUGE -  9sc and 12rows of sc measures approx 2"x 2

Boots x 2 - With 4.00mm hook, ch11, (RS) 3hdc in 4th ch from hook, 1hdc in each of

next 6ch, 8hdc in last ch, working on opposite side of cast on ch, work 1hdc in each of

next 6ch, 4hdc in last ch, sl st to top of the ch3 on beginning of of row. DNT.

(27hdc + ch2)

 

Next Round - ch2, work 2hdc in each of next 3hdc, 1hdc in each of next 8hdc, 2hdc in

each of next 6hdc, 1hdc in each of next 8hdc, 2hdc in each of last 2hdc, 1hdc in base of ch2, sl st to top of ch2. DNT. (39hdc + ch2)

 

Next Round - ch2, skip first hdc, 1hdc in each hdc to end, 1hdc in base of ch2, sl st to

top of ch2. DNT. (39hdc + ch2)

 

Next Round (working in back loop of stitch only) - This will now be known as the RS of

work, ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, 1sc in each hdc to end. Turn (40sc)

 

Next Round (working through both loops) -  ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, 1sc in each sc to

end. Turn (40sc). Rpt last row twice. Fasten off.

 

Upper Toe (Instep) - With RS facing and counting from where you just fastened off,

(back seam) skip 12sc, rejoin yarn to next sc, ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, 1sc in next 15sc,

turn leaving 12sc un-worked. (16sc)

 

Next Row - (Dec) ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, dec 1sc over next 2sc, (see abbrev above)

7 times, 1sc in last sc. Turn. (9sc)

 

Next Row - (Dec) ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, (dec 1sc over next 2sc) 4 times. Turn. (5sc)


Next Row - (Dec) ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, (dec 1sc over next 2sc) 2 times. Turn (3sc)

 

Next Row - sl st first sc to last sc. Fasten off.


With RS facing rejoin yarn to back seam, work ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, 1sc in each of

next 11sc to instep, work 8sc evenly along top of instep, 1sc in each of next 12sc, sl st

to first sc. Turn.


Next Row - ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, * ch1, skip 1sc, 1sc in each of next 2sc, * rpt from

* to * to last sc, ch1, skip last sc, sl st to first sc. Turn.


Next Row - ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, 1sc in each ch1 space and sc to end, sl st to first sc. Turn. (32sc) Work six more rows in sc, turning at the end of each row and sl st to first sc. Turn.


Next Row - Working in back loops of stitch only, ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, 1sc in each sc

to end, sl st to first sc. Turn. Working through both loops, work two more rows in sc, turning

and sl st at the end of each row.


Next Row - ch3, * skip 1sc, * 5dc in next sc, (5dc group), skip 3sc, * rpt from * to * to last

sc, skip last sc, sl st to top of ch3. Turn. (8, 5dc groups)


Next Row - ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, * 5dc group in centre dc of next group, 1sc in space between next 2 groups, * rpt from * to * to end, sl st to first sc. Fasten off.


Return to loose loops on sole of boot and with 5.50mm hook, rejoin yarn to first loose

loop at back seam, ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, 1sc in each loose loop to end. Fasten off.


Chain Tie  -  With 4.00mm hook ch80. Fasten off.

 

Finishing - Sew in ends and tie off, thread chain tie through ch1 loops on ankle and tie in a bow. Make 4 small pom-pom's (I used Clover Pom-Pom maker) and attach to each end of ties.
