Small amounts of King Cole big value baby DK in Colours 1, 2 & 3

4.00mm crochet hook

Made in continuous rounds without turning and weaving in loose ends of yarn as you go.

With colour 1 make a magic circle, using 4.00mm hook (RS) work 1ch, 8dc into circle, close circle pulling loose thread, ss to first dc on beginning of row.

Round 2 - 3ch, 2tr into base of 3ch, make 2ch, work 3tr, 2ch into each dc to end, ss to top

of 3ch on beginning of row. Fasten off. (8, 2ch spaces)

Round 3 - Join in colour 2 with a ss to first 2ch space, work (3ch, 2tr, 2ch, 3tr) into same

2ch space, work (3tr, 2ch, 3tr) into each 2ch space to end, ss to top of 3ch on beginning of row. Fasten off.

Round 4 - Join in colour 3 with a ss to any space between shell groups, work * 8dtr into next 2ch space, ss into space between next 2 shell groups, * rpt from * to * to end, ss to ss on beginning of row. Do Not Fasten off.

Body - Make 20ch.

Fold butterfly in half, wrap ch around the middle of wings, (see pic) ss to first ch. Fasten off.
