50 grams of Patons 100% Cotton DK in candy (2734)
OR
1.75oz of 100% Cotton Worsted Weight #3 Yarn
6.00mm & 5.00mm crochet hooks
GAUGE - 4sc and 4 rows of pattern measures approx 1 Inch

With 6.00mm hook ch40, change to 5.00mm hook and work 1dc in 4th ch from hook, * ch1, skip 1ch, 1dc in each of next 2ch's, * rpt from * to * to end. Turn. (12, ch1 spaces)
Pattern Row 1 - ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, 1sc in each dc and ch1 space to end. Turn. (38sc)
Pattern Row 2-3 - ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, 1sc in each sc to end. Turn.
Pattern Row 4 - ch3, 1dc in next sc, * ch1, skip 1sc, 1dc in each of next 2sc, * rpt from
* to * to end. Turn.
Rpt Pattern Rows 1-4 seven more times until 33 rows have been worked in all.
Edging - ch1, 2sc in base of ch1, 1sc in each dc and ch space to ch3 to turn, 3sc in top of ch3, work 41sc evenly in row ends down first side of dishcloth to corner, 3sc in corner, working along cast on edge work 1sc in each ch to corner, 3sc in corner, work 41sc evenly
in row ends up second side of dishcloth to corner, 1sc in base of ch1, sl st to first sc. Turn.
Starting with ch1, 2sc in base of ch1, work two more rows of 1sc in each sc around all four sides of dishcloth, working 3sc in corners and sl st to first sc on beginning of each row. Fasten off.
Finishing - Sew in and tie off loose ends of yarn.
