Materials
50 grams of Patons 100% Cotton DK in white (2691)
Oddments of Patons 100% Cotton DK in Contrast Colour
5.00mm & 4.00mm crochet hooks
TENSION - 10 stitches and 7 rows measure approx 2” square using 4.00mm hook

Using 5.00mm hook and white, make 30ch, change to 4.00mm hook, work 1dc into 2nd
ch from hook, * miss 1ch, 3tr into next ch, miss 1ch, 1dc into next ch, * rpt from
* to * to
end. Turn.
Row 2 - 3ch, 1tr into base of 3ch, * miss 1tr, 1dc into next tr, miss 1tr, 3tr into
dc, * rpt
from * to * to last dc, 2tr into dc. Turn.
Row 3 - 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, * miss 1tr, 3tr into next dc, miss 1tr, 1dc into
next tr,
* rpt from * to * to end working last dc into top of 3ch. Turn.
Row 4 - 3ch, 1tr into base of 3ch, * miss 1tr, 1dc into next tr, miss 1tr, 3tr into
dc, * rpt
from * to * to last dc, 2tr into dc. Turn. Fasten off.
Row 5 - Join in contrast colour, work 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, * miss 1tr, 3tr
into next dc, miss 1tr, 1dc into next tr, * rpt from * to * to end working last dc
into top of 3ch. Turn.
Rows 6-7 - Work same as Rows 2 & 3. Fasten off.
Rows 8-19 - Re-join white yarn and work same as Rows 2 & 3. Turn. (19 rows in all)
Row 20 - Rpt Row 2 once. Turn.
Dishcloth edging - 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each st to 3ch to turn, 3dc
into
top of 3ch (corner) work 30dc evenly down side of dishcloth working into row ends,
3dc
into corner, 27dc along bottom, 3dc into corner, 30dc evenly up second side of cloth
working into row ends , ss to first dc. Turn.
Work one more row of dc around all four sides of dish cloth in white, working 3dc
into each corner and slip stitching to first dc on the end of row. Fasten off. Join
in contrast colour and rpt last row once. Fasten off. Re-join white and rpt last
row twice. Fasten off.
Finishing - Sew and tie of loose ends of yarn.
