GAUGE - 6dc and 2.5 rows of dc’s measure approx 1 Inch square

With 4.50mm hook ch54, change to 3.50mm hook, work 1dc in 6th ch from hook, 1dc in
each of next 4ch's, * ch1, skip 1ch, 1dc in each of next 5ch's, * rpt from * to *
to last 2ch's, ch1, skip 1ch, 1dc in last ch. Turn. (8, 5dc groups)
Next Row - ch4, skip ch1, * 1dc in each of next 5dc, ch1, skip ch1, * rpt from *
to * to end, 1dc in 4th of ch5. Turn. Rpt last row once, but work last dc in 3rd
of ch4 (not ch5)
Next Row - ch4, skip ch1, * (1dc in next dc, ch1, skip dc, 1dc in next dc, ch1, skip
1dc, 1dc in next dc), ch1, skip ch1, * rpt from * to * to end, 1dc in 3rd of ch4.
Turn (25, ch1 spaces)
Pattern Row 1 - ch4, skip ch1, * (1dc in next dc, ch1 space, dc, ch1 space & dc),
ch1, skip ch1 space, * rpt from * to * to end, 1dc in 3rd of ch4. Turn.
Pattern Row 2 - ch4, skip ch1, * 1dc in each of next 5dc, ch1, skip ch1, * rpt from
* to * to end, 1dc in 3rd of ch4. Turn.
Rpt last row once.
Pattern Row 4 - ch4, skip ch1, * (1dc in next dc, ch1, skip dc, 1dc in next dc, ch1,
skip 1dc, 1dc in next dc), ch1, skip ch1, * rpt from * to * to end, 1dc in 3rd of
ch4. Turn
(25, ch1 spaces)
The Pattern Rows 1- 4 form the pattern, rpt Pattern Rows nine more times until 11
complete patterns have been worked or 44 rows have been worked in all. Rpt
Pattern Rows 1-3 once. Turn. (you should now have 47 rows worked)
Border - ch1, 2sc in base of ch1, 1sc in each ch space and dc to corner, 3sc in 3rd
of ch4, working down the side of runner, work 2sc in each row end to corner, 3sc
in 3rd
of ch4, working along cast on edge, work 1sc in each ch to corner, 3sc in corner,
working
up the side of runner, work 2sc in each row end to corner, 1sc in base of ch1, sl
st to first
sc on beginning of row. Turn.
Starting with ch1, work 2sc in base of ch1, 1sc in each sc to around all four sides
of runner, working 3sc in corners, 1sc in base of ch1, sl st to first sc on beginning
of row. Turn.
Frill - ch3, 2dc in base of ch3, 3dc in each sc around all four sides of runner,
working
5dc in each of the corners, work 2dc in base of ch3 at the end of the row, sl st
to top of
ch3 on beginning of row. Turn.
Next Row - ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, 1sc in each dc around all four sides of runner,
sl st to first sc on beginning of row. Fasten off.
Finishing - Sew in and tie off all loose threads of yarn.
