Materials
Small amount of 100%
Mercerised Fingering Cotton
6.00mm & 3.50mm crochet hooks
Small amount of 6mm ribbon in a contrast color

GAUGE - 5dc and 2 rows of dc's measures approx 1 Inch

With 6.00mm hook ch42, change to 3.50mm hook, work 1dc in 4th ch from hook, 1dc
in each ch to end. Turn. (39dc + ch3)

Next Row - ch3, 1dc in base of ch3, 1dc in each ch to end, 3dc in top of ch3, work 3dc
in row end on first side of bookmark, 3dc in corner, working along cast on edge work 1dc
in each ch to corner, 3dc in corner, 3dc in row end on second side of bookmark, 1dc in
base of ch3, ss to top of ch3 on beginning of row. Turn.

Next Row - ch1, 1sc in next sc, * work ch4, skip 1dc, 1sc in next dc, * rpt from * to * around to end, sl st to first sc on beginning of row. Turn.

Next Row  -  ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, * work ch3, 1sc in next ch4 space, * rpt from
* to * around to end, sl st to first sc on beginning of row. Fasten off.

Finishing - Sew in and tie of  loose ends of cotton, working from each end of bookmark, thread ribbon through centre row of dc's using dc's alternately and tie in a bow in the
centre, secure ribbon ends to back.
