140 grams of James C Brett baby marble DK Yarn in shade 21
4.00mm & 4.50mm crochet hook
3 medium buttons
TENSION - 4tr and 2.5 rows measure approx 1 Inch using 4.00mm hook

Worked in one piece starting with yoke, Using 4.00mm hook make 55ch, 1tr into 4th
ch from hook, (RS) 1tr in each ch to end. Turn. (52tr + 3ch)
2nd Row - (Inc Row) 3ch, 1tr into next tr, * 2tr into next tr, 1tr into each of the
next 4tr, * rpt from * to * to end, 1tr into top of 3ch. Turn. (62tr + 3ch)
3rd Row - 3ch, 1tr in each tr to end, 1tr into top of 3ch. Turn.
4th Row - (Inc Row) 3ch, 1tr into next tr, * 2tr into next tr, 1tr into each of the
next 3tr, * rpt from * to * to end, 1tr into top of 3ch. Turn. (77tr + 3ch)
5th Row - Work same as 3rd Row.
6th Row - (Inc Row) 3ch, 1tr into next tr, * 2tr into next tr, 1tr into each of the
next 2tr, * rpt from * to * to end, 1tr into top of 3ch. Turn. (102tr + 3ch)
7th Row - Work as 3rd Row.
8th Row - (Inc Row) as 6th Row until 1tr remains, work 2tr into tr, 1tr into top
of 3ch. (136tr + 3ch)
9th Row - Work as 3rd Row.
10th Row - (Shape Armholes) 3ch, 1tr into each of next 21tr, miss 24tr, (first armhole)
1tr into each of next 45tr, miss 24tr, (second armhole) 1tr into each of next 21tr,
1tr into top of 3ch. Turn. (88tr + 3ch)
Commence Skirt - 3ch, miss 1tr, work (3tr, 2ch, 1tr) into next tr, * miss 2tr, (3tr,
2ch, 1tr) into next tr, * rpt from * to * to last tr and 3ch to turn with, miss 1tr,
1tr into top of 3ch. Turn. (29 groups)
Pattern Row - 3ch, work (3tr, 2ch, 1tr) into each 2ch space to end, 1tr into top
of 3ch. Turn.
Rpt Pattern Row until 15 rows have been worked from division or work measures 12.5
Inches from Shoulder. Fasten off.
Sleeves x 2 - With WS facing re-join yarn to side of tr under arm, make 3ch, 1tr
into each of next 24tr, 1tr into side of tr underarm on opposite side of sleeve,
ss to top of 3ch on beginning of row. Turn. (25tr +3ch)
Next Row - 3ch, 1tr into each tr to end, ss to top of 3ch on beginning of row. Turn.
Rpt last row until 11 rows have been worked from division or work measures approx
5 Inches.
Cuff - 3ch, miss 1tr, work (3tr, 2ch, 1tr) into next tr, * miss 2tr, (3tr, 2ch, 1tr)
into next tr, * rpt from * to * to last 2tr, miss last 2tr, (3tr, 2ch) into base
of 3ch, ss to top of 3ch. Fasten off. (9 groups)
Collar - Using 4.50mm hook, WS facing and working along starting ch, rejoin yarn
to neck edge, make 3ch, 1tr into each ch to end. Turn. (52tr + 3ch)
Second Row - (Inc Row) 3ch, 1tr into next tr, * 2tr into next tr, 1tr into each of
the next 4tr,
* rpt from * to * to end, 1tr into top of 3ch. Turn. (62tr + 3ch)
Collar Edge - 3ch, miss 1tr, work (3tr, 2ch, 1tr) into next tr, * miss 2tr, (3tr,
2ch, 1tr) into next tr, * rpt from * to * to last 2tr and 3ch to turn with, miss
2tr, 1tr into top of 3ch. Fasten off. (20 groups)
Button/Button Band - With RS facing, 4.00mm hook and working up towards neck, rejoin
yarn to bottom edge of coat, work 51dc evenly along front edge to base of collar.
Turn.
Next Row - (Buttonholes) 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, * 2ch, miss 1dc, 1dc into next
8dc, * rpt from * to * once, 2ch, miss 1dc, 1dc into each dc to end. Turn.
Next Row - 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, work 1dc into each dc and 2ch space to end.
Fasten off.
Button Band - With RS facing and starting at neck edge, work 51dc evenly along front
edge to corner. Turn. Starting with 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, work 2 more rows of
1dc into each dc and turn at the end of each row. Fasten off.
Finishing - Close small gap under arms, weave in and trim off any loose strands of
yarn. Sew on buttons to correspond with buttonholes.
