4.00mm & 4.50mm crochet hooks

TENSION - 5tr and 2.5 rows of tr's measures approx 1 Inch

Worked in rounds without turning up to the brim -

With 4.00mm hook, make 5ch, join to first ch with a ss to form a ring, 3ch, work 11tr into ring, join with ss to top of 3ch on beginning of row.

2nd Row - (Inc Row) 3ch, 1tr into base of 3ch, 2tr in each of next 11tr, ss to top of 3ch on beginning of row. (23tr + 3ch).

3rd Row - (Inc Row) 3ch, 1tr into base of 3ch, 1tr into next tr, * 2tr into next tr, 1tr into next

tr, * rpt from * to * to end, ss to top of 3ch on beginning of row. (35tr + 3ch).

4th Row - (Inc Row) 3ch, 1tr into base of 3ch, 1tr into each of next 2tr, * 2tr into next tr, 1tr into each of next 2tr, * rpt from * to * to end, ss to top of 3ch on beginning of row.

(47tr + 3ch).

5th - 9th Rows - 3ch, 1tr into each tr to end, ss to top of 3ch on beginning of row. Turn.

Brim - With 4.50mm hook make 1ch, ss into base of 1ch, * 1tr into next tr, ss into next tr,

* rpt from * to * to end, ss to first dc on beginning of row. Turn.

Pattern Row 1 - 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each st to end, ss to first dc on beginning row. Turn. (48dc)

Pattern Row 2 - 1ch, ss into base of 1ch, * 1tr into next dc, ss into next dc, * rpt from

* to * to end, ss to first ss on beginning of row. Turn.

Rpt Pattern Row 1 & 2 twice more or until brim measures approx 1 Inch. Fasten off.

Finishing - Sew in and tie off loose ends of yarn, attach decorative button/s.
