ss.    Slip Stitch

DNT.  Do not Turn


Base of ch. Work into first stitch


Group. (2dc, 2ch, 2dc) into same space


Finished size approx:-  Length 47.5 Inches

                                        Width       5.5 Inches


Materials

50 grams of Double Knitting Yarn in Main Colour

50 grams of Double Knitting Yarn in Two Contrast Colours

6.00mm & 5.00mm crochet hooks


TENSION – 1.5 groups and 3 rows measures approx 1”


**************************************************

Scarf - With main colour yarn and 6.00mm hook, make 34ch, change to 5.00mm hook,

work 1dc into 3rd ch from hook, * miss 2ch, 2dc into next ch, 2ch, 2dc into next ch, * rpt

from * to * to last 3ch, miss 2ch, 1dc into last ch. Turn. Fasten off. (7, 2ch spaces)


Join in 1st contrast colour.


Pattern Row - 2ch, 1dc into base of 2ch, miss 2dc, * (2dc, 2ch, 2dc) into next 2ch

space, miss 4dc, * rpt from * to * to last 3dc and 2ch, miss 3dc, 1dc into top of 2ch.

Turn. Rpt last row nine more times. Turn. Fasten off. (7 groups)


Join in main colour, rpt last row three more times. Fasten off.


Rpt Pattern Row in colour sequence as follows:-


# 10 rows 2nd contrast colour. Fasten off

3 rows main colour. Fasten off

10 rows 1st contrast colour. Fasten off

3 rows main colour # Fasten off


Rpt colour sequence from # to # 4 more times until 144 rows have been worked in all or work measures 47 Inches from beginning. DNT or fasten off at the end of the last row.


Edging - With 5.00mm hook and working down first side of scarf, work 1dc into each row end to corner, 2dc into corner, working along cast on edge work as follows, * miss 2ch,

2dc into next ch, 2ch, 2dc into next ch, * rpt from * to * to last 3ch, miss 2ch, 2dc into last

ch, working up second side of scarf into row ends work 1dc into each row end to corner. Turn.


Next Row  - 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each dc up first side of scarf to corner,

2dc into corner, miss 2dc, * (2dc, 2ch, 2dc) into next 2ch space, miss 4dc, * rpt from

* to * to last 3dc, miss 2dc, 2dc into last dc, work 1dc into each dc up second side of scarf

to end. Fasten off.


Finishing - Sew in and tie off all loose ends of yarn.
