King Cole big value baby DK in Colours 1 & 2
OR
Small amounts of Worsted Weight #3 in colors 1 & 2
5.00mm crochet hook
GAUGE - 5dc and 2 rows measures approx 1 Inch

Face - (Made in rounds without turning) With color 1 make a magic circle, ch3, 12dc
in circle, close circle pulling loose thread, sl st to top of ch3 on beginning of
round. (12dc + ch3)
Round 2 - (Inc Round) ch3, work 2dc in each dc to end, sl st to top of ch3 on beginning
of round. (24dc + ch3)
Round 3 - (Inc Round) ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, * 2sc in next dc, 1sc in next dc,
* rpt from * to * to last dc, 2sc in dc, sl st to first sc on beginning of round.
Fasten off. (37sc)
Ears x 2 - With color 2 ch7, 1sc in 2nd ch from hook, 1sc in each of next 4sc, 3sc
in last sc, working along opposite side of cast on chain, work 1sc in each of next
5ch, sl st to first ch. Fasten off. Turn. (13sc)
Join in color 1 and starting with ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, work 1sc in each sc to
end, sl st to first sc. Fasten off leaving a length of yarn to stitch ears to top
of face.
Bow - With color 2, ch8, 1sc in 2nd ch from hook, 1sc in each ch to end. Turn.
Starting with ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, work 1sc in each sc to end. Turn. Rpt last
row until 4 rows have been worked. Fasten off.
Wrap color 2 round middle of sc piece several times to make the bow.
Finishing - Weave in any loose ends of yarn, stitch ears evenly to top of face (about
2dc's apart), Use small buttons for eyes, darn on nose and mouth with yarn as in
picture, attach bow to bottom of face.
