Group. (2tr, 1ch, 2tr) into same space or stitch.

Base of ch. Work into first stitch

3ch counts as first tr

Finished size approx: 10 Inches x 19.5 Inches

Materials

60 grams of Patons 100% Cotton 4ply in Colour 1

20 grams of Patons 100% 4ply Cotton in Colour 2

3.50mm & 4.50mm crochet hooks

TENSION - 1.5 groups and 2 rows measure approx 1 Inch using 3.50mm hook

With 4.50mm hook and colour 1, make 33ch loosely, change to 3.50mm hook, (2tr, 1ch, 2tr) into 6th ch from hook, * miss 2ch, (2tr, 1ch, 2tr) into next ch, * rpt from * to * to last 3ch, miss 2ch, 1tr into last ch. Turn. (9 groups)

Pattern Row - 3ch, work (2tr 1ch, 2tr) into each 1ch space to end, 1tr into top of turning ch. Turn.

Rpt Pattern Row until 37 rows have been worked. Turn.

Next Row - 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, * make 2ch, 1dc into next 1ch space, * rpt from * to * to end, make 2ch, 1dc into top of turning ch. Turn.

Border - 1ch, 2dc into base of 1ch, * 2dc into 2ch space, 1dc into dc, * rpt from * to * to last 2ch space, work 2dc into 2ch space, 3dc into corner, working down the side of the doily work 2dc into each row end to corner, 3dc into corner, rpt from * to * along cast on ch to 5ch, 2dc into 5ch space, 3dc into 3rd of the 5ch, working up the side of doily work 2dc into each row to corner, 1dc into base of 1ch, ss to first dc on beginning of row. Turn.

Starting with 1ch, 2dc into base of 1ch, work 1dc into each dc around all four sides of doily, working 3dc into each of the 3 corners, 1dc into base of 1ch, ss to first dc on beginning of row. Turn. Rpt last row twice more. Fasten off.

Join in colour 2 and rpt last row once. Turn.

Next Row - 3ch, 1tr into base of 3ch, 1tr into each dc around all four sides of doily, working 3tr into each of the 3 corners, 1tr into base of 3ch, ss to top of 3ch on beginning of row. Turn.

Next Row - 1ch, (1dc, 3ch, 1dc) into base of 1ch, * miss 1dc, (1dc, 3ch, 1dc) into next dc, * rpt from * to * around four sides of doily, ss to first dc on beginning of row. Fasten off.

Flower Motif - (Worked in rounds without turning) using 3.50mm hook and colour 1, make magic circle, work 1ch, 16dc into circle, pull loose thread of yarn to close, ss to first dc.

Round 2 - Make 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, * make 2ch, miss 1dc, 1dc into next dc, * rpt from * to * to last dc, make 2ch, miss last dc, ss to first dc. (8, 2ch spaces)

Round 3 - Work 1ch, (1dc, 1htr, 3tr, 1htr, 1dc) into each 2ch space to end, ss to first dc. Fasten off. (8 petals)

Round 4 - Working behind petals of Round 3, join in colour 2 with a ss to back loop of top of dc on Round 2, work 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, * 4ch, 1dc into back loop of next dc on Round 2, * rpt from * to * 6 more times, make 4ch, ss to first dc on beginning of round. (8, 4ch spaces)

Round 5 - Work 1ch, (1dc, 2tr, 4dtr, 2tr, 1dc) into each 4ch space to end, ss to first dc. Fasten off.

Finishing - Weave in and trim off all loose ends on doily and flower.
