Abbreviations

WS. Wrong Side

RS. Right Side

ch. Chain

dc. Double Crochet

tr. Treble Crochet

rpt. Repeat

ss. Slip Stitch

yrh. Yarn Round Hook

tr2tog.

Leaving last loop on hook work 2tr into next tr,

yrh and draw through all loops on hook.

Base of ch. Work into first stitch

3ch counts as first tr

Finished size approx: 4.5 Inch Diameter

Materials

10 grams of Patons 100% Cotton DK in various shades (your choice)

4.50mm crochet hook

TENSION - 6tr and 2 rows tr's measures approx 1 Inch

Coaster is worked in continuous rounds without turning, make magic circle, using 4.50mm hook work 3ch, 14tr into circle, pull loose yarn to close, join with ss to top of 3ch on beginning of round. (14tr + 3ch)

Round 2 - (Inc) Make 3ch, 1tr into base of 3ch, work 2tr into each of next 14tr, ss to top of 3ch on beginning of round. (29tr + 3ch)

Round 3 - 3ch, 1tr into base of 3ch, * make 2ch, miss 1tr, work tr2tog (see abbrev) into next tr, * rpt from * to * to end, 2ch, miss 1tr, ss to top of 3ch on beginning of round. (14, tr2tog, 1tr + 3ch)

Round 4 - 1ch, 1dc into next tr, * 3dc into next 2ch space, 1dc into tr2tog, * rpt from * to * to last 2ch space, work 3dc into 2ch space, ss to first dc on beginning of round. (60dc)

Round 5 - 1ch, (1dc, 2ch, 1dc) into base of 1ch, * miss 1dc, (1dc, 2ch, 1dc) into next dc, * rpt from * to * to end, miss last dc, ss to first dc. Fasten off.

Finishing - Weave in ends.
