100 grams of DK in Main Colour

Oddments of DK in Two Contrast Colours

4.00mm crochet hook,

3, Medium Main Colour Buttons

12” Diameter Round Cushion Pad

TENSION - 9tr and 4 rounds of tr’s measures approx 2” x 2”

Cushion Cover x 2 (Back & Front Alike) - (Made in rounds without turning throughout) With 4.00mm hook and main colour yarn, make 6ch, ss to first ch to make a ring, (RS)

3ch, work 13tr into ring, ss to top of 3ch. (13tr + 3ch)

Round 2 - 3ch, 1tr into base of 3ch, 2tr into each tr to end, ss to top of 3ch. (27tr + 3ch)

Round 3 - Working into back loop only, make 3ch, 1tr into base of 3ch, 1tr into next tr,

* 2tr into next tr, 1tr into next tr, * rpt from * to * to end, ss to top of 3ch. (41tr + 3ch)

Round 4 - Working through both loops, make 3ch, 1tr into base of 3ch, 1tr into each of

next 2tr, * 2tr into next tr, 1tr into each of next 2tr, * rpt from * to * to end, ss to top of

3ch. (55tr + 3ch)

Round 5 - Work through back loop of stitch only, make 3ch, 1tr into base of 1ch, 1tr into each of next 3tr, * 2tr into next tr, 1tr into each of next 3tr, * rpt from * to * to end, ss to

top of 3ch. (69tr + 3ch)

Round 6 - Working through both loops, make 3ch, 1tr into base of 3ch, 1tr into each

of next 4tr, * 2tr into next tr, 1tr into each of next 4tr * rpt from * to * to end, ss to top of

3ch. (83tr + 3ch)

Round 7 - Work though back loop only, make 3ch, 1tr into base of 3ch, 1tr into each of

next 5tr, * 2tr into next tr, 1tr into each of next 5tr, * rpt from * to * to end, ss to top of

3ch. (97tr + 3ch)

Round 8 - Working through both loops, make 3ch, 1tr into base of 3ch, 1tr into each of

next 6tr, * 2tr into next tr, 1tr into each of next 6tr, * rpt from * to * to end, ss to top of 3ch. (111tr + 3ch)

Round 9 - Working through back loop only, make 3ch, 1tr into base of 3ch, 1tr into each

of next 7tr, * 2tr into next tr, 1tr into each of next 7tr, * rpt from * to * to end, ss to top of

3ch. (125tr + 3ch)

Round 10 - Working through both loops, make 3ch, 1tr into base of 3ch, 1tr into each of

next 8tr, * 2tr into next tr, 1tr into each of next 8tr, * rpt from * to * to end, ss to top of

3ch. (139tr + 3ch)

Round 11 - Working through back loop only, make 3ch, 1tr into base of 3ch, 1tr into each

of next 9tr, * 2tr into next tr, 1tr into each of next 9tr, * rpt from * to * to end, ss to top of

3ch. (153tr + 3ch)

Round 12 - Working through both loops, make 3ch, 1tr into base of 3ch, 1tr into each of

next 10tr, * 2tr into next tr, 1tr into each of next 10tr, * rpt from * to * to end, ss to top of

3ch. (167tr + 3ch)

Round 13 - Working through back loop only, make 3ch, 1tr into base of 3ch, 1tr into each

of next 11tr, * 2tr into next tr, 1tr into each of next 11tr, * rpt from * to * to end, ss to top of 3ch. (181tr + 3ch) Fasten off.

Return to first round of loose loops you made at centre of cover, join in contrast colour

one, 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, (3ch, 1dc) into base of 1ch, * miss 1tr, (1dc, 3ch, 1dc)

into next tr, * rpt from * to * to last tr, miss last tr, ss to first dc. Fasten off.

Rpt last round by alternate contrast colours into each round of loose loops. Fasten off.

Place both right sides of pieces together, lining up seams of both sides, with WS facing, starting at seams, catching in both sides as you, work 1ch, 1ss into each of next 133tr,

you will have 49tr un-worked (this is the opening for cushion the pad). Turn.

Next Row - 1ch, 1dc into each of next 49tr on first piece, 1dc into each of next 49tr on second piece, ss to first dc. Fasten off.

Finishing - Sew in and tie off loose ends, turn though to RS, sew 3 medium size main colour buttons evenly along opening on the inside of one of the open pieces, use gaps

in tr’s on opposite piece as buttonholes.
