20 grams of King Cole Candystripe DK Yarn (431)

OR
0.7oz of Worsted Weight 3 Yarn.
5.00mm & 4.50mm crochet hooks
1 decorative button

GAUGE - 5sc and 6 rows measure approx 1 Inch using 4.50mm hook

With 5.00mm crochet hook ch41, change to 4.50mm hook, 1sc in 2nd ch from hook, * skip 1ch, 2sc in next ch, * rpt from * to * to last ch, 1sc in last ch. Turn. (40sc)

Pattern Row - ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, * skip 1sc, 2sc in next sc, * rpt from * to * to last sc, 1sc in last sc. Turn.

Repeat Pattern Row until 18 rows have been worked in all. Fasten off.

Fold over one end approx 3 inches.

Edging - With RS facing and using 4.50mm hook, rejoin yarn to bottom right hand corner of fold over, ch1, 1sc in next 14ch, (working through front and back starting ch's to seal edges), 1sc in each of the next 10 ch's to corner, 3sc in corner, 1sc in each of the next 8 row ends, ch5 (loop) skip 1 row end, 1sc in each of the next 8 rows ends, 3sc in corner, 1sc in each of the next 10sc, work 1sc in each of the remaining 14sc (picking up both sides of work to seal edges). Fasten off.

Finishing - Weave in any loose ends of yarn, attach button to correspond with looped flap.
