yo. Yarn Over

cl. Cluster Stitch

yo insert in st, pull up loop, (twice)

yo draw through 5 loops on hook

dc3tog. Leaving last loop of each dc on hook,

work 3dc in next stitch or space, yo pull through all loops.

Base of ch. Work in first stitch ~~~~~ ch3 counts as first dc

Size approx: 5 Inches x 5 Inches

Materials

Small amount of Stylecraft Special DK Yarn in Color 1, 2 & 3

Small amount of Worsted Weight #3 in Colors 1, 2 & 3

4.00mm crochet hook

GAUGE - 5dc and 3 rows measures approx 1 Inch

Made in rounds without turning throughout.

Using color 1 make magic circle, with 4.00mm hook ch1, work 8sc in circle, pull loose thread to close, sl st to first sc on beginning of row.

Round 2 - ch3, 1dc in base of ch3, 2dc in each sc to end, sl st to top of ch3 on beginning of round. Fasten off. (15dc + ch3)

Round 3 - Make cl (see abbrev) with color 2 in top of ch3, ch1, * 1cl in next dc, ch1, * rpt from * to * to end, sl st to top of cl on beginning of round. Fasten off. (16cl)

Round 4 - join color 3 to first ch1 space, ch3, leaving last loop of each dc on hook work 2dc in same ch1 space, yo and pull through all loops, * ch2, dc3tog (see abbrev) in next ch1 space, * rpt from * to * to end, ch2, sl st to top of ch3 on beginning of round. (16, dc3tog)

Round 5 - sl st to first ch2 space, ch4 (2trc, ch3, 3trc) in same ch2 space, 3dc in each of next three ch2 spaces, * (3trc, ch3, 3trc) in next ch2 space, 3dc in each of next three ch2 spaces, * rpt from * to * to end, sl st to top of ch4 on beginning of round.

Round 6 - ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, 1sc in next 2trc, * (2sc, ch2, 2sc) in next ch3 space, (corner) 1sc in each of next 15st, rpt from * to * to last corner, (2sc, ch2, 2sc) in ch3 space on corner, 1sc in each of next 12st, sl st to first sc on beginning of round.

Round 7 - ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, * ch4, skip 2sc, 1sc in next sc, * rpt from * to * to end. Fasten off.

Finishing - Weave in any loose ends of yarn.
