Scarf: 40 Inches x 4.5 Inches

Hat: 19 Inch circumference

Materials

50 grams of Stylecraft Special DK in Aspin (1422) Colour 1

50 grams of Stylecraft Special DK in Cream (1005) Colour 2

6.00mm & 5.00mm crochet hooks

TENSION - 5tr and 2 rows measure approx 1 Inch using 5.00mm hook

Scarf - With 6.00mm hook and colour 1 make 164ch loosely, change to 5.00mm hook, work 1dc into 2nd ch from hook, 1dc into each ch to end. Turn. (163dc)

Next Row - 1ch, (1dc, 1htr, 1tr) into base of 1ch, * miss 2dc, (1dc, 1htr, 1tr) into next dc, * rpt from * to * to last 3dc, miss 2dc, 1dc into last dc. Turn. (54 Groups)

Pattern Row - 1ch, (1dc, 1htr, 1tr) into base of 1ch, * miss 1tr and 1htr, work (1dc, 1htr, 1tr) into next dc, * rpt from * to * to last 3st, miss 2st work 1dc into last st. Turn. Fasten off.

Using colour 2 rpt Pattern Row nine times. Fasten off. Using colour 1 rpt Pattern Row twice. Turn.

Next Row - Make 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, work 1dc into each st to end. Fasten off. (163dc)

With 5.00mm hook, colour 1 and working into row ends on first side of scarf, work 16dc evenly along to end. Turn. Starting with 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, work one more row in dc. Fasten off.

Rpt last two rows on second side of scarf.

Finishing - Weave in loose ends of yarn and trim.

Tassels x 16 (optional) - Using colour 2 for each tassel, cut 4 strands of yarn approx 4 inches long, (or required length), fold in half, thread open ends through dc, pull through loop you have created and secure. Edge both ends of scarf with 8 tassels each, approx 1 in every 2nd dc, trim to make even.

Bobble Hat - Made in continuous rows without turning until row 6 -

With 5.00mm hook and colour 1, make 6ch, ss to first ch to form a ring, 3ch, work 12tr into ring, miss 3ch, ss to first tr on beginning of row.

2nd Round - 3ch, 2tr in base of 3ch, 2tr into each tr to end, miss 3ch, ss to first tr on beginning of row. (24tr)

3rd Round - 3ch, 2tr into base of 3ch, 1tr into next tr, * 2tr into next tr, 1tr into next tr, * rpt from * to * to end, miss 3ch, ss to first tr on beginning of row. (36tr).

4th Round - 3ch, 2tr into base of 3ch, 1tr into each of next 2tr, * 2tr into next tr, 1tr into each of next 2tr, * rpt from * to * to end, miss 3ch, ss to first tr on beginning of row. (48tr).

5th Round - 3ch, 2tr into base of 3ch, * 1tr into next 3tr, 2tr into next tr, * rpt from * to * to last end, miss 3ch, ss to first tr on beginning of row. (60tr).

6th Round - Rpt 5th Round. (75tr). Turn.

Next Row - 1ch, (1dc, 1htr, 1tr) into base of 1ch, * miss 2tr, (1dc, 1htr, 1tr) into next tr, * rpt from * to * to last 2tr, miss last 2tr, ss to first dc on beginning of row. Turn. (25 groups)

Pattern Row - 1ch, (1dc, 1htr, 1tr) into base of 1ch, * miss 1tr and 1htr, (1dc, 1htr, 1tr) into next dc, * rpt from * to * to last 2st, miss last 2st, ss to first dc on beginning of row. Turn. Fasten off.

Join in colour 2 and rpt Pattern Row ten more times. Fasten off. Join in colour 1 and rpt Pattern Row twice. Fasten off.

Make a pom pom in colour 2, I used Clover pom pom maker size 65

Finishing - Weave in loose ends of yarn and trim. Attach pom pom to crown.
