50 grams of King Cole big value baby DK in cream (046) main colour

50 grams of King Cole big value baby DK in contrast colour

1.75oz of Worsted Weight yarn in Main

1.75oz of Worsted Weight yarn in Contrast

4.50mm & 4.00mm crochet hooks

Headband Design 1 - Using 4.50mm hook and main color, ch64, change to 4.00mm

hook, (RS) work 4sc in 2nd ch from hook, 1sc in each ch to last ch, 7sc in last ch,

working along opposite side of cast on ch, work 1sc in each ch to last ch, 3sc in last ch,

sl st to first sc. Turn. Fasten off.

Next Row - Join in contrast color, ch1, (1sc, 2dc) in base of ch1, * skip 1sc, (1sc, 2dc) in next sc, * rpt from * to * all around to end, sl st to first sc. Fasten off. (69 Groups)

Slip stitch each end of headband together to form a circle.

Headband Design 2 - Using 4.50mm hook and main color, ch68, change to 4.00mm

hook, (WS) Work (1sc, 1dc) in second ch from hook, * skip ch1, (1sc, 1dc) in next ch

* rpt from * to * to last ch, work (1sc,1dc,1sc,1dc, 1sc, 1dc) in last ch, work along opposite side of cast on ch and rpt from * to * to last ch, work (1sc, 1dc, 1sc, 1dc) in last ch, sl st to first sc. Fasten off. (69 Groups).

Flower Motif - Use for both design 1 & 2, reversing colors to suit.

With 4.00mm hook and main color, ch6, sl st to first ch to make a ring, work 8sc in ring,

sl st to first sc. Turn. Fasten off.

Next Row - (Petals) With contrast color yarn * ch7, 1hdc in 3rd ch from hook, 1hdc in each ch to end (5hdc + ch2) sl st to next sc, * rpt from * to * to end, sl st to first sc. Fasten off.

Finishing - Attach flower motif over slip stitched join on headband, sew in and tie off

loose ends of yarn.
