Materials

50 grams of King Cole big value baby DK in cream (046) main colour

50 grams of King Cole big value baby DK in contrast colour

4.50mm & 4.00mm crochet hooks

Headband Design 1 - Using 4.50mm hook and main colour, make 64ch, change to

4.00mm hook, (RS) work 4dc into 2nd ch from hook, 1dc into each ch to last ch, 7dc

into last ch, working along opposite side of cast on ch, work 1dc into each ch to last ch,

3dc into last ch, ss to first dc. Turn. Fasten off.

Next Row - Join in contrast colour, make 1ch, (1dc, 2tr) into base of 1ch, * miss 1dc,

(1dc, 2tr) into next dc, * rpt from * to * all around to end, ss to first dc. Fasten off.

(69 Groups)

Slip stitch each end of headband together to form a circle.

Headband Design 2 - Using 4.50mm hook and main colour, make 68ch, change to

4.00mm hook, (WS) Work (1dc, 1tr) into second ch from hook, * miss 1ch, (1dc, 1tr) into next ch * rpt from * to * to last ch, work (1dc,1tr,1dc,1tr, 1dc, 1tr) into last ch, work along opposite side of cast on ch and rpt from * to * to last ch, work (1dc, 1tr, 1dc, 1tr) into last

ch, ss to first dc. Fasten off.

(69 Groups).

Flower Motif - Use for both design 1 & 2, reversing colours to suit.

With 4.00mm hook and main colour, make 6ch, ss to first ch to make a ring, work 8dc into ring, ss to first dc. Turn. Fasten off.

Next Row - (Petals) With contrast colour yarn make * 7ch, 1htr into 3rd ch from hook, 1htr into each ch to end (5htr + 2ch) ss to next dc, * rpt from * to * to end, ss to first dc. Fasten off.

Finishing - Attach flower motif over slip stitched join on headband, sew in and tie off

loose ends of yarn.
