1oz of Worsted Weight Yarn in Main Color
1oz of Worsted Weight in Contrast Color
Oddment of Green Worsted Weight (leaves)
4.00mm & 3.50 crochet hooks

GAUGE - 6sc and 6 rows of sc's measures approx 1 Inch Square

Toilet Roll Cover (Top Part) - (Made in continuous rounds without turning), 4.00mm
hook and main color yarn, ch5, sl st to first ch to make a ring, (RS) ch3, work 11dc in ring,
sl st to top of ch3 on beginning of row. (11dc + ch3)

Second Row - (Inc Row) ch3, work 1dc in base of ch3, 2dc in each dc to end, sl st to
top of ch3 on beginning of row. (23dc + ch3)

Third Row - (Inc Row) ch3, 1dc in base of ch3, * 1dc in next dc, 2dc in next dc, * rpt
from * to * to last dc, 1dc in last dc, sl st to top of ch3 on beginning of row. (35dc + ch3)

Fourth Row - (Inc Row) ch3, 1dc in base of ch3, * 1dc in each of next 2dc, 2dc in next
dc, * rpt from * to * to last 2dc, 1dc in each of last 2dc, sl st to top of ch3 on beginning of
row. (47dc + ch3)

Fifth Row - (Inc Row) ch3, 1dc in base of ch3, * 1dc in each of next 3dc, 2dc in next dc,
* rpt from * to * to last 3dc, 1dc in each of last 3dc, sl st to top of ch3 on beginning of row. (59dc + ch3)

Sixth Row - Working in back loop only for this row, ch1, 2sc in base of ch1, * 1sc in each
of next 3dc, 2sc in next dc, * rpt from * to * to last 3dc, 1sc in each of last 3dc, sl st to first
sc. (75sc) Do Not Fasten off.

Main Piece
ch19, 1sc in 2nd ch from hook, 1sc in each ch to end, sl st to first sc on the Top Part of cover. Turn. (18sc)

Next Row - Working in back loop of stitch from now on, ch1, skip first sl st, 1sc in each of next 18sc. Fasten off. Turn.

Pattern Row 1 - Join in new color yarn, ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, 1sc in each of next 17sc, skip the ch1 to turn, sl st in each of next 2sc on Top Part of cover.

Pattern Row 2 - ch1, skip first 2 sl st, 1sc in each of next 18sc. Fasten off. Turn.

Rpt the last 2 rows in color sequence as follows:- 2 rows in main color yarn followed by 2 rows of contrast color yarn around circle to end, finishing on a contrast color row and
working last sl st in first sc, 76 sc rows will have been worked in all from beginning.

Working on (WS) of work and in back loop of last row, starting with ch1, sl st first and last rows together to make a round. Fasten off.

Bottom Edge - With 3.50mm hook, RS facing and main colored yarn, rejoin yarn to first
sc next to seam, ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, 1sc in each row end to end, sl st to first sc. Turn. (76sc)

Next Row - Starting with ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, work 1sc in each sc to end, sl st to first
sc. Turn.

Next Row - ch1, working in each sc, work 1 row of crab stitch to end, (see abbrev) sl st to first sc. Fasten off.

Top Edge - With 4.00mm hook, bottom of cover towards you and working in loose loops
on Top Piece of cover (created earlier by working in back loops), rejoin main color yarn to first loop, ch1, 2sc in base of ch1, * 1sc in each of next 3 loops, 2sc in next loop, * rpt
from * to * to last 3 loops, 1sc in each of next 3 loops. Turn. (75sc)

Next Row - ch1, working in each sc, work 1 row of crab stitch to end, sl st to first sc.
Fasten off.

Leaves x 3 - Using 4.00mm hook and green color yarn, ch7, 1sc in second ch from hook, 1sc in next ch, 1hdc in each of next ch2, 1dc in next ch, (3dc, ch2, 3dc) in last ch, working
on opposite side of starting ch's, work 1dc in next ch, 1hdc in each of next ch2, 1sc in each of last ch2, sl st to first sc. Fasten off.

Flower - With contrast color yarn make a magic circle, using 4.00mm hook, work 8sc in the circle and close the circle.

Row 2 - ch3, * sl st in next sc, ch2, * rpt from * to * to end, sl st to first of ch3 (8, ch2 spaces)

Row 3 - Work ch1, (sl st, ch1, 2dc, ch1, sl st) in each ch2 space to end,
sl st to first ch1.

Row 4 - With RS facing and working at the back of the petals, * ch3, sl st round the 1st ch underneath the next petal, * rpt from * to * to end, sl st in first sl st.

Row 5 - ch1, work (sl st, ch3, 3dc, ch3, sl st) in each ch3 space to end,
sl st to first ch1. Fasten off.

Covered Button - (Optional) With 3.50mm hook and main color, ch8, 1sc in 2nd ch from hook, 1sc in each ch to end. Turn. (7sc)

Work 5 more rows in sc on these stitches, making 6 rows in all, fasten off leaving a long length of yarn (enough to gather and attach to flower with).

Thread yarn evenly all around four sides through sc's, place medium size button in center and gather around it tightly, secure so that the button cannot break free.

Finishing - Sew in and tie off loose strands of yarn, attach leaves, flower and covered
button to centre of Top Piece of cover.
