50 grams of Double Knitting Yarn in Main Colour
50 grams of Double Knitting in Contrast Colour
Oddment of Green (leaves)
4.00mm & 3.50 crochet hooks

TENSION - 6dc and 6 rows of dc's measures approx 1 Inch Square

Toilet Roll Cover (Top Part) - (Made in continuous rounds without turning),
4.00mm hook and main coloured yarn, make 5ch, ss to first ch to make a ring, (RS)
3ch, work 11tr into ring, ss to top of 3ch on beginning of row. (11tr + 3ch)

Second Row - (Inc Row) 3ch, work 1tr into base of 3ch, 2tr into each tr to end, ss to top
of 3ch on beginning of row. (23tr + 3ch)

Third Row - (Inc Row) 3ch, 1tr into base of 3ch, * 1tr into next tr, 2tr into next tr, * rpt
from * to * to last tr, 1tr into last tr, ss to top of 3ch on beginning of row. (35tr + 3ch)

Fourth Row - (Inc Row) 3ch, 1tr into base of 3ch, * 1tr into each of next 2tr, 2tr into next
tr, * rpt from * to * to last 2tr, 1tr into each of last 2tr, ss to top of 3ch on beginning of row. (47tr + 3ch)

Fifth Row - (Inc Row) 3ch, 1tr into base of 3ch, * 1tr into each of next 3tr, 2tr into next tr,
* rpt from * to * to last 3tr, 1tr into each of last 3tr, ss to top of 3ch on beginning of row.
(59tr + 3ch)

Sixth Row - Working into back loop only for this row, make 1ch, 2dc into base of 1ch,
* 1dc into each of next 3tr, 2dc into next tr, * rpt from * to * to last 3tr, 1dc into each of last
3tr, ss to first dc. (75dc) Do Not Fasten off.

Main Piece
Make 19ch, 1dc into 2nd ch from hook, 1dc into each ch to end, ss to first dc on the
Top Part of cover. Turn. (18dc)

Next Row - Working into back loop of stitch from now on, make 1ch, miss first ss, 1dc into each of next 18dc. Fasten off. Turn.

Pattern Row 1 - Join in new colour yarn, 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each of next 17dc, miss the 1ch to turn, ss into each of next 2dc on Top Part of cover.

Pattern Row 2 - Make 1ch, miss first 2 ss, 1dc into each of next 18dc. Fasten off. Turn.

Rpt the last 2 rows in colour sequence as follows:- 2 rows in main coloured yarn followed
by 2 rows of contrast coloured yarn around circle to end, finishing on a contrast colour row and working last ss into first dc, 76 dc rows will have been worked in all from beginning.

Working on (WS) of work and into back loop of last row, starting with 1ch, ss first and last rows together to make a round. Fasten off.

Bottom Edge - With 3.50mm hook, RS facing and main coloured yarn, rejoin yarn to first
dc next to seam, 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each row end to end, ss to first dc. Turn. (76dc)

Next Row - Starting with 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, work 1dc into each dc to end, ss to
first dc. Turn.

Next Row - 1ch, working into each dc, work 1 row of crab stitch to end, (see abbrev) ss
to first dc. Fasten off.

Top Edge - With 4.00mm hook, bottom of cover towards you and working into loose loops on Top Piece of cover (created earlier by working into back loops), rejoin main coloured yarn to first loop, 1ch, 2dc into base of 1ch, * 1dc into each of next 3 loops, 2dc into next loop, * rpt from * to * to last 3 loops, 1dc into each of next 3 loops. Turn. (75dc)

Next Row - 1ch, working into each dc, work 1 row of crab stitch to end, ss to first dc.
Fasten off.

Leaves x 3 - Using 4.00mm hook and green coloured yarn, make 7ch, 1dc into second
ch from hook, 1dc into next ch, 1htr into each of next 2ch, 1tr into next ch, (3tr, 2ch, 3tr)
into last ch, working on opposite side of starting ch's, work 1tr into next ch, 1htr into each
of next 2ch, 1dc into each of last 2ch, ss to first dc. Fasten off.

Flower - With contrast colour yarn make a magic circle using 4.00mm hook, work 8dc in
the circle and close the circle

Row 2 - 3ch, *ss in next dc, 2ch, *rpt from * to * to end, ss to first of 3ch (8, 2ch spaces)

Row 3 - Work 1ch, (ss, 1ch, 2tr, 1ch, ss) into each 2ch space to end, ss to first 1ch

Row 4 - With RS facing and working at the back of the petals, *make 3ch, ss round the 1st ch underneath the next petal, *rpt from * to * to end, ss into first ss.

Row 5 - 1ch, work (ss, 3ch, 3tr, 3ch, ss) into each 3ch space to end, ss to first 1ch. Fasten off.

Covered Button - (Optional) With 3.50mm hook and main colour, make 8ch, 1dc into 2nd ch from hook, 1dc into each ch to end. Turn. (7dc)

Work 5 more rows in dc on these stitches, making 6 rows in all, fasten off leaving a long length of yarn (enough to gather and attach to flower with).

Thread yarn evenly all around four sides through dc's, place medium size button in center and gather around it tightly, secure so that the button cannot break free.

Finishing - Sew in and tie off loose strands of yarn, attach leaves, flower and covered button to centre of Top Piece of cover.
