GAUGE - N/A

Using 5.50mm hook and color 1, ch39 loosely, change to 5.00mm hook, 1sc in 2nd ch from hook, * 1dc in next ch, 1sc in next ch, * rpt from * to * to last ch, 1hdc in last ch. Turn. (38st).

Pattern Row - ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, * 1dc in next sc, 1sc in next dc, * rpt from * to * to last sc, 1hdc in sc. Turn.

Rpt Pattern Row until 38 rows have been worked or work measures approx 10.5 inches from beginning. Turn.

Border - ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, 1sc in each of next 36st, 3sc in last sc, working in row ends, work 36sc evenly down first side of washcloth to corner, 3sc in corner, working along cast on edge, work 1sc in each ch to next corner, 3sc in corner, work 36sc evenly up second side of washcloth to corner, 1sc in corner, sl st to first sc. Fasten off. Turn.

Join in color 2, starting with ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, work 1sc in each sc around all four sides of washcloth, working 3sc in corners. Turn.

Rpt last row once. Fasten off. Turn.

Frill - Join in color 1, ch3, 2dc in base of ch3, 3dc in each sc to end, sl st to top of ch3 on beginning of row. Fasten off.

Finishing - Weave in all loose ends of yarn.
