Materials

100 grams of Patons 100% Cotton DK in Colour 1

Small amount of Patons 100% cotton DK in Colour 2

5.50mm & 5.00mm crochet hooks

TENSION - N/A

Using 5.50mm hook and colour 1, make 39ch loosely, change to 5.00mm hook, 1dc into 2nd ch from hook, * 1tr into next ch, 1dc into next ch, * rpt from * to * to last ch, 1htr into last ch. Turn. (38st)

Pattern Row - 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, * 1tr into next dc, 1dc into next tr, * rpt from * to * to last dc, 1htr into dc. Turn.

Rpt Pattern Row until 38 rows have been worked or work measures approx 10.5 inches from beginning. Turn.

Border - 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each of next 36st, 3dc into last dc, working into row ends, work 36dc evenly down first side of washcloth to corner, 3dc into corner, working along cast on edge, work 1dc into each ch to next corner, 3dc into corner, work 36dc evenly up second side of washcloth to corner, 1dc into corner, ss to first dc. Fasten off. Turn.

Join in colour 2, starting with 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, work 1dc into each dc around all four sides of washcloth, working 3dc into corners. Turn.

Rpt last row once. Fasten off. Turn.

Frill - Join in colour 1, make 3ch, 2tr into base of 3ch, 3tr into each dc to end, ss to top of 3ch on beginning of row. Fasten off.

Finishing - Weave in all loose ends of yarn.
