5.00mm & 4.50mm crochet hooks

GAUGE - 4sc and 5 rows of sc's measure approx 1 Inch using 5.00mm hook

With 5.00mm hook ch28, 3sc in 2nd ch from hook, 1sc in each of next 25ch, 6sc in last ch, working along opposite side of cast on ch, work 1sc in each of next 25ch, 3sc in last ch, sl st to first sc on beginning of row. Turn. (62sc)

Row 2 to 6 - ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, 1sc in each sc to end, sl st to first sc. Turn.

Change to 4.50mm hook.

Row 7 - ch3, (1dc, ch2, 1sc) in base of ch3, * skip 2sc, (2dc, ch2, 1sc) in next sc, * rpt from * to * to last sc, skip last sc, sl st to top of ch3 on beginning of row. Turn. (21, ch2 spaces)

Pattern Row - ch3, skip 1sc, (1dc, ch2, 1sc) in first ch2 space, * skip 2dc and sc, (2dc, ch2, 1sc) in next ch2 space, * rpt from * to * to end, skip 1dc,
sl st to top of ch3 on beginning of row. Turn.

Rpt Pattern Row in color sequence as follows:-

Once in color 1
Six times in color 2
Three times in color 3

Change to 5.00mm hook.

Row 19 - ch1, * skip next sc, 1sc in next (2ch space and 2dc's) * rpt from * to * to last 2ch space and dc, 1sc in 2ch space and dc, sl st to first sc on beginning of row. Turn. (62sc)

Row 20 - ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, 1sc in each sc to end, sl st to first sc. Turn. Rpt last row twice.

Row 23 - (Bag Handles) ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, 1sc in each of next 10sc, ch11, skip 11sc, work 1sc in each of next 20sc, ch11, skip 11sc, 1sc in each of next 10sc, sl st to first sc on beginning of row. Turn.

Row 24 - ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, 1sc in each sc to first 11ch space, work 11sc in the 11ch space, 1sc in each sc to second 11ch space, 11sc in the 11ch space, 1sc in each sc to end, sl st to first sc on beginning of row. Turn. (62sc)

Row 25 - ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, 1sc in each sc to end, sl st to first sc on beginning of row. Turn. Fasten off.

Finishing - Close small gap on starting chain (where you worked 6sc in), weave in and trim loose ends of yarn, attach decorative embellishments of your choice.
