100 grams of King Cole big value baby DK in Main Colour

Small amount of Contrast Colour

4.00mm & 4.50mm crochet hooks

TENSION - 6tr and 3 rows of tr’s measures approx 1” square

Pull on Hat - (Made in rounds) With 4.00mm hook and main colour yarn, make 6ch, join

to first ch with a ss to form a ring, 3ch, work 12tr into ring, join with ss to top of 3ch. Turn. (12tr + 3ch)

Row 2 - 3ch, 1tr in base of 3ch, 2tr in each of next 12tr, ss to top of 3ch. (25tr + 3ch). Turn.

Row 3 - 3ch, 1tr into base of 3ch, 1tr into next tr, * 2tr into next tr, 1tr into next tr, * rpt

from * to * to end, ss to top of 3ch. (38tr + 3ch). Turn. Fasten off.

Row 4 - Join in contrast colour yarn, make 1ch, 2dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each of

next 2tr, * 2dc into next tr, 1dc into each of next 2tr, * rpt from * to * to end, ss to first dc.

(52dc) Turn. Fasten off.

Next Row - Join in main colour yarn, work 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each dc to end, ss to first dc. Turn. Rpt last row once.

Next Row - Make 3ch, miss 2tr, * (3tr, 1ch, 1tr) into next tr, miss 2tr, * rpt from * to * to

Last tr, (3tr, 1ch) into last tr, ss to top of 3ch on beginning of row. Turn. (17 Groups)

Pattern Row - 1ch, ss to 1ch space on first group, (3ch, 2tr, 1ch, 1tr) into same space,

* (3tr, 1ch, 1tr) into 1ch space on next group * rpt from * to * to end, ss to top of 3ch on beginning of row. Turn.

Rpt Pattern Row five more times, making 7 Pattern Rows in all. Fasten off. Turn.

Next Row - Re-join contrast colour yarn to 1ch space, make 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch,

(2ch, 1dc) into same space, 1dc into next 4tr, * (1dc, 2ch, 1dc) into next 1ch space, 1dc

into next 4tr, rpt from * to * to end, ss to first dc. Fasten off.

Boots - With 4.00mm hook and main colour, make 11ch, (RS) 3htr into 4th ch from hook, 1htr into each of next 6ch, 8htr into last ch, working on opposite side of cast on ch, work

1htr into each of next 6ch, 4htr into last ch, ss to top of the 3ch on beginning of row. DNT. (27htr + 2ch)

Next Round - 2ch, work 2htr into each of next 3htr, 1htr into each of next 8htr, 2htr into

each of next 6htr, 1htr into each of next 8htr, 2htr into each of last 2htr, 1htr into base of

2ch, ss to top of 2ch. DNT. (39htr + 2ch).

Next Round - 2ch, miss first htr, 1htr into each htr to end, 1htr into base of 2ch, ss to top

of 2ch. DNT. (39htr + 2ch.

Next Round - Working into back loop of stitch only, make 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each htr to end, ss to first dc. Turn (40dc)

Next Round - Working through both loops make 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each

dc to end, ss to first dc. Turn (40dc). Rpt last row once. Fasten off.

Instep - With WS facing and counting from were you fastened off, miss 10dc, rejoin yarn to next dc, 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into next 19dc. Turn. (20dc)

Next Row - (Dec) 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, dec 1dc over next 2dc, (see abbrev above)

9 times, 1dc into last dc. Turn. (11dc)

Next Row - (Dec) 1ch, 1dc in base of 1ch, (dec 1dc over next 2dc) 5 times. Turn. (6dc)

Next Row - Insert hook and pull up loop in each dc, yrh, pull through 7 loops on hook to close, 1ch. Turn. Fasten off.

Top – With 4.00mm hook, main colour and WS facing rejoin yarn to back seam, make

1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, work 1dc into each of next 9dc, 8dc evenly across top of instep, work 1dc into each of next 10dc, ss to first dc. Turn. (28dc)

Next Row - Make 3ch, miss 1dc, * (3tr, 1ch, 1tr) into next dc, miss 3dc, * rpt from * to * to last 2dc, 1tr into next dc, (2tr, 1ch) into last dc, ss to top of 3ch on beginning of row. Turn.

(7 Groups)

Next Row - 1ch, ss into first 1ch space, (3ch, 2tr, 1ch, 1tr) into same space, * (3tr, 1ch, 1tr) into 1ch space on next group * rpt from * to * to end, ss to top of 3ch on beginning of row. Turn. Rpt last row once. Turn. Fasten off.

Next Row - Join contrast colour yarn to first tr, make 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, * (1dc, 2ch, 1dc) into next 1ch space, 1dc into next 4tr, * rpt from * to * to working 1dc into each of last 3tr, ss to first dc. Fasten off.

With 4.50mm hook work one row of dc in contrast colour yarn into loose loops on sole of boot. Fasten off.

Chain Tie - With 4.00mm hook and contrast colour yarn make 80ch. Fasten off.

Finishing - Sew in and tie off any loose ends of yarn, thread chain tie though gaps in stitches on ankle and tie in a bow.
