pull through all loops.

dc3tog. Leaving last loop of each dc on hook,
work 1dc in each of next 3dc, yo hook,
pull through all loops.

Base of ch. Work in first stitch

ch3 counts as first dc

Approx size:  Head circumference 22 inches

Materials
1.25oz of Variegated Worsted Weight #3 Yarn in Main Color
1oz of Worsted Weight #3 Yarn in Contrast Color
6.00mm crochet hook

GAUGE - 4dc and 2 rows of dc's measures approx 1 Inch

Round 1 - (RS) With 6.00mm hook and main color, ch4, sl st in 1st ch to form a ring,
ch3, work 11dc in ring, sl st to top ch3 on beginning of row. Turn. (11dc + ch3)

Round 2 - ch3, 1dc in base of ch3, 2dc in each dc to end, sl st to top of ch3 on beginning
of row. Turn. (23dc + ch3)

Round 3 - ch3, 1dc in base of ch3, 1dc in next dc, * 2dc in next dc, 1dc in next dc, * rpt
from * to * to end, sl st to top of ch3 on beginning of row. Turn. (35dc + ch3)

Round 4 - ch3, 1dc in base of ch3, 1dc in each of next 2dc, * 2dc in next dc, 1dc in each
of next 2dc * rpt from * to * to end, sl st to top of ch3 on beginning of row. Turn.
(47dc + ch3)

Round 5 - ch3, 1dc in base of ch3, 1dc in each of next 3dc, * 2dc in next dc, 1dc in each
of next 3dc, * rpt from * to * to end, sl st to top of ch3 on beginning of row. Turn.
(59dc + ch3)

Rounds 6-13 - ch3, 1dc in each dc to end, sl st to top of ch3 on beginning of row. Turn. Fasten off. (59dc + ch3)

First Ear Flap - Counting from where you just fastened off, skip 10dc, re-join main color yarn to next dc, ch3, 1dc in each of next 7dc. Turn. (7dc + ch3)

Row 2 - (Dec Row) ch3, 1dc in next dc, dc2tog over next 2dc (twice) 1dc in next dc, 1dc in top of ch3. Turn. (5dc + ch3)

Row 3 - (Dec Row) ch3, 1dc in next dc, dc2tog over next 2dc, 1dc in next dc, 1dc in top
of ch3. Turn. (4dc +ch3)

Row 4 - (Dec Row) ch3, dc3tog over next 3dc, 1dc in top of ch3. (2dc + ch3) Fasten off.

Second Ear Flap - With RS facing, return to Round 13, skip next 24dc, join main color
with a sl st in next dc, ch3, 1dc in each of next 7dc. (7dc + ch3)

Rep Rows 2- 4 same as First Ear Flap. Fasten off.

Edging Including Ties - With WS facing join in contrast color yarn with a sl st to first
dc after back seam, ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, 1sc in each of next 9dc, work 8sc evenly in
row ends up side of ear flap, ch51, 1sc in 2nd ch from hook, 1sc in each of next 48ch,
skip 1st, work 8sc evenly in row ends down side of earflap, 1sc in each of next 24dc, work 8sc evenly in row ends up side of ear flap, ch51, 1sc in 2nd ch from hook, 1sc in each of next 48ch, skip 1st, work 8sc evenly in row ends down side of earflap, 1sc in each of next 9dc, 1sc in top of ch3, sl st to first sc on beginning of row. Fasten off.

Finishing - Sew in and tie off loose ends. Using Clover Pom-Pom makers, make 1 medium Pom-Pom in contrast color and 2 small Pom-Poms in main color, attach medium pom-pom to crown on hat and 2 small pom-poms to each end of ties.
