2.25oz of Worsted Weight 100% Cotton in Contrast Color
4.50mm crochet hook

GAUGE - 4.5sc and 7 rows of sc measure approx 1 Inch

Using 4.50mm hook and main color, ch65 loosely, (RS) Work 1dc in 4th ch from hook, 1dc in next ch, * ch1, skip 1ch, 1dc in each of next 3ch, * rpt from * to * to end. Turn. (16, 3dc blocks)

Pattern Row - ch3, 1dc in each of next 2dc, * ch1, skip ch1, 1dc in each of next 3dc, * rpt from * to * to end working last dc in top of ch3. Turn.

Rpt Pattern Row until 31 rows have been worked in all. Turn.

Border - ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, 1sc in each dc and ch1 space to ch3 to turn with, 3sc in top of the ch3, work 61sc evenly along in row ends down first side of rug to corner, 3sc in corner, 1sc in each of next 61ch along cast on edge to corner, 3sc in corner, work 61sc evenly along in row ends up second side of rug to corner, 1sc in corner, sl st to first sc on beginning of row. Turn. Fasten off.

Next Row - Join in contrast color, ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, work 1sc in each sc around rug
to end, working 3sc in each corner, slip stitch to first sc on beginning of row. Turn.

Rpt last row 8 more times. Fasten off.

Join in main color, rpt last row twice. DNT.

Work 1 row of crab stitch (see abbrev) Fasten off.

Finishing - Weave in all loose ends and trim.
