Size Approx:- 8.5” x 9”


Materials

50 grams of Patons 100% Cotton DK in any color (your choice)


OR

1.75oz of Light Worsted Cotton in any color (your choice)

5.00mm & 4.00mm crochet hooks


GAUGE - 4, 3dc groups and 6 rows, measures approx 2” x 2”

With 5.00mm hook ch37, change to 4.00mm hook, work 1sc in 2nd ch from hook, (1sc, ch2, 1sc) in next ch from hook, * skip 2ch’s, (1sc, ch2, 1sc) in next ch, * rpt from * to * to last ch, 1sc in last ch. Turn. (12, ch2 spaces)


Next Row - ch3, * 3dc in next ch2 space, * rpt from * to * to last sc, 1dc in sc. Turn.


Row 1 - ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, skip 1dc, * (1sc, ch2, 1sc) in centre dc of 3dc group,

skip 2dc * rpt from * to * end, 1sc in top of ch3. Turn.   


Row 2 - ch3, * 3dc in next ch2 space, * rpt from * to * to last sc, 1dc in sc. Turn.


The last 2 rows form the pattern, rpt both rows until 11 complete patterns have been

worked in all or work measures 8” from beginning. Turn.


Edging - ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, 1sc in each dc to ch3 to turn, 3sc in top of ch3, work

36sc evenly in row ends down the first side of the washcloth, work 3sc in corner, work 36sc evenly along cast on chain on the bottom of cloth, by working in each stitch to corner, 3sc

in corner, work 36sc evenly in row ends up the second side of the washcloth, sl st to first

sc. Turn. Work one more sc row around all four sides of cloth, working 3sc in each corner. Turn.


Next Row - ch1, (1sc, ch3, 1sc) in base of ch1, * skip 2sc, (1sc, ch3, 1sc) in next sc,

* rpt from * to * around four sides of washcloth. Fasten off.


Finishing - Sew in and tie off all loose ends of Yarn.
