RS.       Right Side

dc.       Double Crochet

tr.         Treble

rpt.       Repeat

ss.        Slip Stitch


Size Approx:- 8.5” x 9”


Materials

50 grams of Patons 100% Cotton DK in any color (your choice)  

5.00mm & 4.00mm crochet hooks


TENSION - 4, 3tr groups and 6 rows, measures approx 2” x 2”

With 5.00mm hook make 37ch, change to 4.00mm hook, work 1dc into 2nd ch from

hook, (1dc, 2ch, 1dc) into next ch from hook, * miss 2ch, (1dc, 2ch, 1dc) into next ch,

* rpt from * to * to last ch, 1dc into last ch. Turn. (12, 2ch spaces)


Next Row - 3ch, * 3tr into next 2ch space, * rpt from * to * to last dc, 1tr into dc. Turn.


Row 1 - 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, miss 1tr, * (1dc, 2ch, 1dc) into centre tr of 3tr group,

miss 2tr * rpt from * to * end, 1dc into top of 3ch. Turn.   


Row 2 - 3ch, * 3tr into next 2ch space, * rpt from * to * to last dc, 1tr into dc. Turn.


The last 2 rows form the pattern, rpt both rows until 11 complete patterns have been

worked in all or work measures 8” from beginning. Turn.


Edging -  1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each tr to 3ch to turn, 3dc into top of 3ch,

work 36dc evenly into row ends down the first side of the washcloth, work 3dc into corner, work 36dc evenly along cast on chain on the bottom of cloth, by working into each stitch

to corner, 3dc into corner, work 36dc evenly into row ends up the second side of the washcloth, ss to first dc. Turn. Work one more dc row around all four sides of cloth,

working 3dc into each corner. Turn.


Next Row - 1ch, (1dc, 3ch, 1dc) into base of 1ch, * miss 2dc, (1dc, 3ch, 1dc) into next

dc, * rpt from * to * around four sides of washcloth. Fasten off.


Finishing - Sew in and tie off all loose ends of Yarn.
